Issue with Couch Potato and Emby

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the issue im having. So im new to OpenFlixr which is really good has everything. I tried other quickbox and FreeNAS but nothing really worked. So far im glad with OpenFlixr just a few questions i have.

1)  When i go to add movie i try to add it but after a while it goes to wanted. Im guessing because it cannot find it i check the logs on coach potato

2) I have configured emby as the default view when i click on what now i go to emby which configured the folders to look for /mnt/tvshows and movies.  When coach potato downloads the movies, it automatic goes to that folder to that category? and as for the torrents i see that there 2 types of downloaders any reason?

Thank you

  • Hi @killmasta93
It sounds like you may not have set up any working indexers/searchers in couch potato.

There are many downloaders installed in openflixr, you need to decide which one meets your needs/preferences and set it up.

You also need to set up the downloader to leave the finished files in the right folder, and to then have couch potato do the nice rename process to move it into the final folder.
  • Thanks for the reply, i was checking the config and think i have configured correctly but not sure. Here is a picture

    Thank you

  • Looks ok.  From memory there's something weird about using the name "localhost", which might be related to pihole's DNS blocking - certainly I found that using "127.0.0.1" instead of "localhost" was much more reliable.

With having both usenet and torrent downloaders running, you'll need to make sure each downloader leaves the completed file(s) in the same end place, or configure the renamer engine to check two different locations, and have it move the files into the place that Emby is expecting to find media files.  Or not, if Emby is good enough at figuring it out.
  • Thanks for the reply, so i changed to 127.0.0.1 then re tried but still no luck i checked the logs and got this

  • I can only guess what that means. Is that the Couch logs?  I wonder if you've managed to launch Couch with an incompatible version.  But it might also mean there's issues with that movie.  What does a manual search show?
